First of all, these superb musicians play an extensive selection of English, Irish, Scottish and European traditional music for dancing, with their own charismatic female caller ‘Miss Dixie’ leading beginners and experienced dancers alike.
And, being great entertainers, the band can also perform many of the popular Irish and Scottish traditional songs, especially important for full celebrations like St Patrick’s Night and Burns’ Night to keep the tempo rolling between dances.
Then, to vary the night even more the same band can become a glitzier, slick functions band – meaning they will change dress to suit and perform several of the classic songs and hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and recent chart hits. With more than 300 classic hits in their locker your event will have COMPLETE VERSATILITY…..TWO BANDS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!!
The band’s core line-up comprises scintillating fiddle work, well-crafted electric guitar and driving percussion and vocals from ‘Miss Dixie’ herself, your caller….and can be augmented with an additional musician from Whistles/flute or banjo/mandolin or even full-kit drummer……….all in all, a different package to most other ceilidh bands, you must agree!

VILLAGE APPLE FESTIVAL BARN DANCE 2009 Hello
I just wanted to say thank you again for the great entertainment you provided at our Barn Dance on the 10th October. We’ve had great feedback from those who attended and everyone seemed to have a really fun night.
Georgina was so thrilled to be an honorary member of the band and has been telling everyone how she played in the band with Debby!!!
