First of all,these superb musicians play an extensive selection of English, Irish, Scottish and European traditional music for dancing,with their own charismatic female caller ‘Miss Dixie’ leading beginners and experienced dancers alike.
And,being great entertainers,the band can also perform many of the popular Irish and Scottish traditional songs,especially important for full celebrations like St Patrick’s Night and Burns’ Night to keep the tempo rolling between dances.
Then,to vary the night even more the same band can become a glitzier,slick functions band – meaning they will change dress to suit and perform several of the classic songs and hits from the 50’s,60’s,70’s,80’s,90’s and recent chart hits.With more than 300 classic hits in their locker your event will have COMPLETE VERSATILITY…..TWO BANDS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE !!
The band’s core line-up comprises scintillating fiddle work,well-crafted electric guitar and driving percussion and vocals from ‘Miss Dixie’ herself,your caller….and can be augmented with an additional musician from Whistles/flute or banjo/mandolin or even full-kit drummer……….all in all,a different package to most other ceilidh bands,you must agree!

Wedding Malmesbury 4th July 200
Apologies for taking so long – but just wanted to say a big thank you to you and the band for being so fabulous at our wedding. All our guests had a great time and really enjoyed the music, we’re so pleased we booked you…it’s just a shame things were running so late that we missed out on the first 45 minutes or so, but we really appreciate you having a shorter break so we could get in the maximum possible dancing!
