Scottish Country Dance and Ceilidh band from Essex ……who have, over the years, built up a solid reputation through ‘word of mouth’ recommendations within the Scottish dance club fraternities. Members of such communities in the South East of England know the genuine article when they hear it! The band are often booked for the quality and authentic style of their traditional Scottish music and dances in the Scottish Country Dance tradition.
The traditional Scottish style line-up for this 3 piece band comprises accordion, fiddle and drums.And, with their own caller to guide both beginners and refresh the memories for others, the band will take you through all the familiar Scottish ceilidh dances up to the ‘Eightsome Reel’ level (and beyond if requested )
However, the band are also willing to adapt the dances to be slightly less complicated if preferred – but still provide the same exacting standard of authentic Scottish traditional music which has become known and loved in all corners of the globe. And, of course, they will dress to suit the occasion. Naturally, this makes the band a popular choice at wedding receptions and similar gatherings where a genuine Scottish style of music and dance is preferred.
