Welcome to another of our ‘compact’ ceilidh bands.This trio, based near Bournemouth, includes a caller amongst the 3 musicians, thus providing all you need for a night of traditional music and fun with a range of music from throughout the whole of the British Isles at a very competitive price!
As a compact trio of accordion, fiddle and guitar, the band benefits from the experience of Kate (fiddle) as a caller and a trained teacher of Scottish country dance.
Kate (fiddle, harp, caller) has been playing the violin since childhood, is a RSCDS member and has played for and danced in Scottish Dance display teams throughout Europe, as well as establishing a pedigree in many of the other forms of traditional music and dance.
Jim (midi piano accordion) has been playing with ceilidh bands for over 15 years and in latter years has honed his Scottish style technique to exacting standards.
The trio is completed by John (guitar, mandolin) who has played in various ceilidh bands over a number of years.
NOTE – this same 3 piece band will also perform as a specialist Scottish Country dance band.
