This 5 piece band wanted to put together a compelling concert and ceilidh band with an eclectic feel – and since launching at Towersey Folk Festival 2000, they have played a wide range of festivals, dances, concerts and, of course, prestigious private events.
Infused with blues, soul, jazz and Latin influences, the band draws traditional and original material into inventive arrangements to get you dancing or entertaining you as a concert band.
Dave – New to the line-up is ace melodeon squeezer Dave, who brings his own definitive style to complement the band’s rootsy, Celtic-jazz-fusion.
Jackie – Violinist Jackie has augmented her whistle and flute playing with soprano sax, which, together with
Pete‘s steamy saxwork, brings back those classic dual-sax tunes which Pete achieved with previous bands.
Combine all this with Peter on guitars, yes – guitarsss and
Lynn, sometimes leading as flautist and whistle-player of lightning dexterity
We are proud to present a band boldly offering an exciting range of imaginative traditional folk music, fused effortlessly with jazz-tinged melodic arrangements to deliver funky rhythms, soaring melodies and lush harmonies.
And an even bigger PLUS is that two of the band members are very experienced and able callers in their own right !
Own callers – well-crafted dance music to suit – and a concert band. What can we say? They’ve just got it all!!
Or let’s put it another way – one client saw them during an afternoon upon our recommendation……………and had booked the band by 7pm on the same night!
From a very satisfied Customer (Gig 26th Nov 2011)
I just wanted to let you know what a fab time we had last Saturday at our 40th Birthday Barndance/Ceilidh. The band were absolutely fantastic and I wondered whether there was any place on your website to leave feedback. Thank you for your help. I would definitely do it again!
