Crisp, clean exciting fiddle work from Pete! Augmented by the solid rhythms supplied by Dan’s stunning mandocello (and his voice!) all solidly backed by Gareth’s piano. And, completing the set….Paul, their caller and melodeon player, who has a wealth of dances to suit the beginners and the experienced dancers.
Pete has learnt and honed many of his skills on the fiddle in Scotland whilst Dan has had a varied background in musical styles and bands, embracing much from the Celtic/Irish influences, all underpinned with Gareth’s jazz piano. Paul’s simple, relaxed style of calling encourages people to ‘catch on’ quickly to dances ranging from some of the Scottish ‘favourites’ (like ‘Strip The Willow’) through to other ‘fun mixer’ dances/square sets and the like before he chimes in on melodeon.
So, whatever the occasion, these guys can bring that special magic! This all allows customers to afford a top-notch band, who are…..err…..well…very danceable !
