For wedding receptions in Gloucestershire (Glos), several of our ceilidh and barn dance bands will perform on a regular basis.These live ceilidh bands may be based within the county and there are also other bands who will quite happily travel within the county.
This part of England has always had a rich tradition in folk music and dance (with large parts of the county being based in the Cotswolds). The city of Gloucester itself has many experienced ceilidh bands within the area and all the major towns like Cheltenham, Stroud, Cirencester, Tewkesbury, Dursley are easily within range of a number of very good ceilidh and barn dance bands,as,indeed,are the smaller idyllic settings like those in Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the Water, Tetbury and Nailsworth.The areas of the Forest of Dean,including towns like Cinderford and Coleford,are also within easy reach of a number of our bands,not only from Gloucestershire but South Wales area as well.
The bands are all very experienced in providing traditional music and dances suitable for both beginners and experienced dancers,including a caller for the event who can act as an MC throughout the night as well as explaining the moves,briefly,to all the guests.
